We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join our busy, expanding team based in Greater London; you will have responsibility for all areas of the HR function for approx. 50 employees.

Responsible for the day to day HR management and implementing the Push HR strategy encompassing people development, training, engagement and wellbeing; as well as providing a comprehensive operational HR service to our employees and managers.

The responsibilities

  • Take an active role in understanding the business and employee issues companywide
  • Ensure that all employee relations issues e.g. disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, capability etc are handled in line with current legislation
  • Conduct and investigate disciplinaries, grievances, absences and capability concerns
  • Carry out a return to work interviews for all sickness absence
  • Work with our legal HR resource to ensure we are in compliance with employment law when handling any employee issues
  • Provide day to day HR advice to managers and employees
  • Provide coaching and conflict resolution to managers and employees
  • Drive cultural changes and continuous improvement
  • Coach and develop the management team to increase their skills to manage employee relations
  • Support all staff members with any queries and deal with recruitment, attend interviews, train line managers on first-line employee relation matters
  • Work with the management team to assess hiring needs and develop new positions and job descriptions
  • Ensure employee records are maintained
  • Manage the wellbeing and engagement strategy
  • To manage & implement in house training modules as agreed with the senior management team

Ideally, you will have:

  • Extensive HR generalist experience at advisory level or above
  • CIPD qualification
  • Up to date and broad understanding of employment legislation
  • Experience in developing HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance
  • Strong interpersonal relationships and a high degree of discretion, sensitivity and confidentiality
  • Knowledge and experience in introducing new ideas to improve employee engagement
  • Hard-working, loyal and trustworthy
  • Adaptable and flexible – willing to work on a variety of projects and perform in multiple roles
  • Team player and willing to perform cross-functional tasks
  • Able to work independently and on own initiative within specified guidelines or processes

This is a part-time role. Working hours are 30 hours per week over 4 or 5 days.

Location: Greater London. (part office-based /part remote)
Salary: £40-£45k per annum
